Alice Sorenson


AliceA resident of Irvine with a 20 acre horse ranch in Kern County, Alice has equestrianism in her blood. As founder and leader of the Equestrian Docent Team for the Irvine Ranch Conservancy, founder of the Equestrian Unit for the Orange County Ranger Reserve, founding member and past President of the Equestrian Coalition of Orange County, and founding member and past Vice President of the Friends of Harbors, Beaches and Parks, she still has found time for longtime service with the Orange County Regional Recreational Trails Advisory Committee, and was appointed to serve on the California Trails Advisory Committee for 5 years by then Governor Pete Wilson. Alice has also served as an advisor to OPA and its Trails Committee.

Ms. Sorenson’s business experience encompasses four decades in the fields of light construction, development management, commercial and residential lending, banking, real estate transactions, asset management and related activities.

As a Director for OPA-ETC, Alice brings her extensive knowledge of trails and equestrian facility construction for the benefit of our Mara Brandman Arena.
