Lynn CantonA resident of Orange Park Acres since 2000, Lynn has been a member of the Orange Park Association and is a founding member of Horses for Orange Park Acres (HOPA). She and the organization worked with the Orange County Supervisors to create and implement the County’s current horse-keeping ordinance.

An active member of the Orange Park Acres Women’s League since 2006, Ms. Canton served as Section Leader for the Hot Trotters, the equestrian section of OPAWL, for 3 years. Her event planning skills translated into fundraising events for the Women’s League that netted $10,000 for the Hot Trotters and she played a key role in Christmas Events that netted over $15,000 for the Women’s Leagues’ charities and beautification projects. As Section Leader for the Hot Trotters, Lynn organized events on Horseback including Poker Rides, Gymkhana Games, Christmas Caroling and various horse training clinics. She also spearheaded the placing of lighted wreaths along Orange Park Blvd during the Holiday Season.

In business, Lynn held a Corporate Director position with a Fortune 500 Company where she managed 20 employees in 7 states. While in that position, she increased sales from 1 million to 20 million in just 5 years. Also an Event Planner in Newport Beach, Lynn retired in 2004.

As President of OPA-ETC, Lynn brings her enthusiasm for keeping “horses” prominent in the Orange Park Acres lifestyle and her event planning/fundraising skills in order to achieve our goals for the Mara Brandman Arena.
